From signature design to installed HTML

  1. Keep the structure email-oriented

    Email clients support a narrower and less consistent HTML environment than modern websites. Favor a simple reading order, conservative layout, inline presentation rules, and real linked text instead of a single flattened image.

  2. Host permitted images over HTTPS

    A photo or logo must load without an account login if recipients are expected to see it. Use appropriately sized assets and meaningful alternate text, while assuming some recipients will block remote content.

  3. Use valid destination links

    Make phone, email, website, and social destinations explicit and secure. Test every target rather than assuming that visible text and the underlying link match.

  4. Preserve a text fallback

    A plain-text alternative keeps the name and contact details usable when rich HTML is disabled, stripped by policy, or unavailable in a particular compose environment.

  5. Copy through the product workflow

    After paid access is active, Sign Pulsar renders the approved signature export and copies it for installation. The server validates the subscription before returning paid export output.

  6. Test the sent message

    Send from the configured account to at least one different provider. Inspect desktop, mobile, a reply, dark mode, images-off behavior, and every link in the received message—not only the compose window.

Why a single image is not the same as HTML

A flattened image can hide contact information from selection, accessibility tools, and link interaction. Rich HTML lets the important details remain text and links, while images support the design instead of carrying the entire message.

Example: text-first HTML with a supporting logo

Maya Chen, MBA uses live text for her name, role, company, email, and website, while the fictional Northstar Labs logo remains a supporting hosted image. If that image is blocked, the recipient can still identify Maya and use the contact links. Her reply version removes secondary links and visual weight.

  • Load only permitted images from public HTTPS destinations
  • Use concise inline presentation rather than website-only effects
  • Include a plain-text fallback and descriptive links
  • Judge the received test message, not just the browser preview

Accuracy and privacy note

Recipients can disable HTML or remote content, organizations can sanitize markup, and email clients can rewrite styles and links. No generator can guarantee pixel-identical rendering across every provider, device, version, and security policy.

Is an HTML signature just one image?

No. A strong HTML signature keeps important information as readable text and clickable links. Photos and logos support the design but should not contain all of the contact information.

Can I paste raw HTML into every email client?
